Starklite Cycle recommends using needle bearings instead of the original bushings in the cluster gear. (#19A59-B & #19A59-C) Full installation instructions are included with the gears. We have used needle bearings for the past 20 years with no known problems. When comparing a transmission after 5,000 miles. The cluster gear with bushings is near worn out, while the cluster gear with needle bearings has the same tolerance as the day they were installed!
