Corbin Speedometer Cable – THICK CHAIN STYLE

This is a cloth covered speedometer cable that was used on the 1939 & earlier Scouts.

The original cables were a chain drive. This improved part takes the later model (modern style) cable #277002 and we build up the outside diameter of the cable so it matches the thickness of the early chain cables. We then place the cable on a looming machine and loom a cloth covering directly on the cable.

From all outward appearances it looks like the original cable, while having a dependable cable driving your speedometer.

For final fit & finish we recommend spraying the cable with a clear lacquer to seal the cloth covering.

Cable measures 39 inches from end to end. Please verify length required for your application before purchase.
