The day started early so we could make it to Aubrun early. But we had to drive by the Brickyard and see the famous raceway. However, we later regretted this decission as we ran out of gas in our truck when we were on the freeway. This caused a 1.5 hr delay.
We new we must be getting close to Iowa, when we started seeing Corn Field after corn field out the windows.
By 2:30 in the afternoon, we arrived at the Kruse Auction Park. The place is huge.
They just recently added this new electric sign to there site.
The main auction building in 100,000 sq ft. They have over 100,000 spectators on each day of the auction, with over 15,000 registered bidders.
We left Auburn at 10:30 that night, and headed for Davenport. We arrived in Davenport at 4:15am. This allowed us just enough time to check into our room before leaving for the fair grounds at 6:30am.
