Davenport '98 Day 13, the way home
Last night, the trailer was dropped at a welder near the interstate. After he inspected it in the morning. He said no, he didn't want to fix it. So we were sent to another welder. It takes about 3 hours to load and unload this trailer on a flatbed tow truck |

Closer examination in the daylight, shows that we were minutes away from loosing the trailer last night. |

To save $$$, we were told to take the floor out of the trailer to expose the frame. After spending several hours removing the floor, the repairs were begun. After several hours it was 5pm, and quiting time. So we are once again in Omaha Nebraska for the evening. However, we are in a different hotel that is further West. So we have made it further west for our nightly stay <g>. |
|||
| We were told it will take a few more hours of repairs to beef up the tounge and frame. So sometime tommorow we should be back on our way home. | |||
| It appears we were supposed to be tested on
this trip for our patience. I think we have been more than tested. Please no more tests,
we would just like to arrive home with no more problems. Type to you soon. (And you thought the story was going to end after we left Davenport ). |
