1947 Indian Chief

1947 Indian Chief

This bike was on the cover of Midnight Sun Rider and had a feature article. It wins trophies every where it goes but has never been outside Alaska. I purchased it from a friend not long ago. It was his pride and joy and I only saw him ride it once and sometimes twice a year on special occasions if the weather was perfect and only for a few laps around town. My best guess is he put less than 50 miles a year on it at the most. I have started it but never ridden it and as far as I know it is perfect. I have always wanted this bike and my friend unfortunately went threw a divorce this past year and I was able to help him out by buying it. I have many bikes and was looking forward to riding this one but after owning it now I realize that I will not ride it as it is too nice. I am sorry to say that one of my good riding buddies would tell you I like 2 tone paint jobs…Black and oily! Well that is not exactly true but I am also not the kind of guy who polishes his transmission every time he rides a bike. There are still bugs on the front end of my hotrods from last fall and I would rather ride than clean. I guess my point to it all is that I don’t want to destroy the investment I made in buying it by riding it because I know how I am.
