1937 Indian Chief

1937 Indian Chief

I purchased this bike in the late 1990s from Antique Motorcycle Works in Oregon City, Oregon as a rolling basket case, 90% complete. Since then it has undergone a complete ground up, frame off restoration. The rebuilding and purchasing of parts from various reputable US and Canadian dealers. I have tried to use authentic original parts when available. Some parts are replica, such as rubber, sealed beam headlight and battery. The engine was completely rebuilt with authentic original parts. The frame is painted black and the body is a seafoam blue match, which was an original Dupont color available by request in Indians back in 1937. There is no powder coating. Life long Indian mechanic, Keith Young, of Port Alberni, BC, did the majority of the work, assembly, etc. I have photos available of the bike as purchased, during restoration and close ups of individual parts. To my knowledge the only two things left to do is rebuild the Corbin Speedometer and make the horn work.  There are no modifications on this bike, it is right hand shift, left hand throttle, 6-volt system. The bike is a located in British Columbia, Canada and has Canadian registration and Plates.

All inspections and shipping are the responsibility of the buyer.
